Manner of Acting
The advent of an Olympic Games creates strong feelings from many groups. There are a litany of conundrums in socio-political, economic and cultural realms and many groups seek to utilize the attention around the Olympics to put forth commercial or political messages. Further, there are myriad by-laws, legislation, civic contracts and security concerns to navigate.
With this in mind, as an organization, TNMH take a distinct stance with the following operational principles:
- Neutral – TNMH is a resource facility without a political agenda or standpoint on issue as an organization
- Operational translucency – Whatever can be shared, should be shared and co-created volunteers & participants
- Personal responsibility – Reporters own, control & liable for their own creations & content
- Hate-free & inclusive - Welcoming to diverse points of view but with no sexist, racist or hateful behaviour tolerated
